Biketoberfest 2021 arrives in Daytona Beach.

With the 29th Annual Biketoberfest fall motorcycle rally rolling into Daytona Beach this week, the Daytona Beach Police Department has issued a Public Service Announcement to ensure a safe environment for residents and visitors to move throughout the city with minimum traffic issues.

Biketoberfest events run from Thursday, October 14 through Sunday, October 17, and officials are anticipating over one hundred thousand motorcycle enthusiasts to come through the area throughout the rally.

According to a release, those wishing to enter or exit the beachside area are encouraged to use the bridges at International Speedway Boulevard or Seabreeze/Oakridge Boulevards. The city, or Daytona Beach Police Department, will not be issuing the “Pink P” passes for beachside access to the high-rise bridges or the Main Street drawbridge this year.

Only motorcycles or vehicles with special permission will be allowed on Main Street throughout the event. Curbside parking on Main Street will be limited to allow for physical distancing on sidewalks.

Any vehicle or motorcycles arriving and leaving festival areas through residential streets should use caution due to pedestrian traffic. The police department will be enforcing designated residential/decal parking restrictions in specific areas, especially in the beachside areas.

As a reminder, excessive pipe noise is prohibited, according to Florida law and Daytona Beach city ordinances. All motorcycles must have mufflers. The Daytona Beach Police Department will be enforcing any violations of the law.
