Volusia County Schools and the Florida Department of Health will be partnering to offer free vaccination opportunities to all Volusia County rising seventh graders.
According to a release put out by Volusia County Schools on May 24, parents have often found it challenging to arrange for their children to receive state-mandated vaccinations. As a result, Volusia County Schools and the Department of Health are providing students an opportunity to receive the vaccinations that they need.
It is important to note that the vaccination clinics do not include the COVID-19 vaccine. Students and school employees are not required to have the COVID-19 vaccine to attend school or work.
On June 7, the first available clinics will be from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Silver Sands Middle off Herbert Street in Port Orange and Holly Hill School off Center Street in Holly Hill.
On June 8, the second two clinics will be from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Deltona Middle off Enterprise Road in Deltona and Deland Middle off Aquarius Avenue in Deland.
