The City of New Smyrna Beach has approved the expansions of existing services to the City’s homeless/disadvantaged individuals and families in the 2022-2023 FY budget.
According to a release, the program utilizes City funds and is made available to 501(c)(3) and nonprofit organizations on a grant application and City Commission approval basis. Eligible organizations or programs will be chosen for grants of up to $8,000 each, not to exceed $40,000. An organization can apply for more than one program.
All grantees previously considered for this grant must reapply.
All applicants are encouraged to e-mail Community Resources Coordinator Irma Terry at iterry@cityofnsb.com to request an application and make an appointment to drop off the completed application. Applications must be in a sealed envelope with “Homeless and Disadvantaged Grant Application” clearly stated on the front of the envelope and must identify the name and mailing address of the applicant.
Applications are available now and must be received no later than 4 p.m. on Thursday, October 20, 2022, at the CRA/Economic Development Department at 201 Sams Avenue, New Smyrna Beach, FL. Applications received after that time will be returned unopened. Electronic submissions will not be accepted.
