Man Shot in New Smyrna Beach

On March 7, at 8:30 in the morning, New Smyrna Beach Police Officers and Detectives responded to the report of a person shot in the 900 block of S Myrtle Ave. Responding officers and detectives were advised the male was shot in the leg and transported as a trauma alert to the hospital. Witnesses at the scene stated they observed the suspect flee before law enforcement’s arrival.
