Founded in 1929, and celebrating our 90th Anniversary, the New Smyrna Beach Garden Club is a non-profit organization open to all area residents who have completed the application process.
We encourage environmental conservation, floral and landscape design and community service. Our members hold fundraisers to provide scholarships to students pursuing environmental and horticultural interests....to send students to nature camps...to contribute to the community...and to support our headquarters and grounds.
The club meets on the first Wednesday of the month from October through May at the clubhouse donated by John DeBerry in memory of his wife, Eva, a longtime member and leader. Later improvements include a gazebo in honor of past president Dottie Bolt by her son Robert and a butterfly garden developed by Fran Reid for her sister Stella Malme. A wildflower garden was planted and a path of engraved bricks donated to commemorate past members and friends of the club.
