The city of New Smyrna Beach has conceptual options for the intersection improvements at Flagler & Peninsula Avenue. Officials want to share and discuss these options with residents and adjacent property owners on Tuesday, March 1 at 5:30 p.m. in the Coronado Civic Center off Flagler Avenue.
The options include:
- An extension of the existing Flagler Avenue eastbound left-turn lane for eastbound vehicles on Flagler Avenue turning left onto Peninsula Avenue
- New northbound left-turn lane from Peninsula Avenue northbound turning left onto Flagler Avenue
- New southbound right-turn lane from Peninsula Avenue southbound turning right onto Flagler Avenue
The city will also discuss moving the existing building at the intersection's northwest corner to another location on the property or a new property entirely.
