Kennedy Space Center is delighted to announce its ‘Taste of Space’ festival that will be taking place from October 8 through November 5, 2021, offering a menu of gastronomic delight. Guests can try delectable, seasonal food items and local brews and may attend a progressive dinner event and a “Marstini” shake-off event at the end of the festival.

According to a release, during ‘Taste of Space: Fall Bites!’ the Orbit Cafe will feature delicious meals like a beef brisket slider smothered with chipotle BBQ sauce and fried onions; a hot turkey, cranberry, and brie melt; and a delicious pumpkin whoopie pie. Guests can also enjoy a bratwurst topped with sauerkraut and whole grain mustard; chicken salad on top of mesclun greens, gorgonzola, mandarin oranges, toasted pecans, and finished with a raspberry vinaigrette; and caramel apple cheesecake at the Moon Rock Cafe. For dessert, Milky Way will offer a decadent pumpkin caramel éclair.

Local brews will be available for purchase inside Planet Play, and guests will receive a commemorative pin - with the purchase of any two Taste of Space meals while supplies last.

A final dinner event, scheduled for November 5, features a progressive-style dinner where guests can embark on a gastronomical walking adventure around Kennedy Space Center Visitor Complex during 'Taste of Space: A Culinary Journey.' Beginning at 6:30 p.m., the dinner under the stars will include a seasonal four-course meal as well as a wine or beer sample at each station. Non-alcoholic beverages will also be available.

After dinner, local bars, including Fishlips Waterfront Bar and Grill and 4th Street Fillin’ Station, will showcase their take on a “Marstini” during a shake-off under space shuttle Atlantis. Additional restaurants may participate as the event gets closer.

Tickets for the event are $159 and include a four-course meal, beer/wine samples, live entertainment, and a commemorative pin. Astronauts such as Bruce Melnick will also be in attendance.

“Our guests are consistently surprised and delighted by the quality of our culinary offerings here at Kennedy Space Center Visitor Complex,” said Therrin Protze, chief operating officer, Kennedy Space Center Visitor Complex. “Our chefs cannot wait to showcase their expertise and share these tantalizing tidbits. We are encouraging folks with a hunger for knowledge about the past, present, and future of space exploration to also come hungry for food because Taste of Space will not disappoint!”
