“By igniting a passion for learning in our students, Volusia County Schools is seeing more students than ever walking across that graduation stage,” said Superintendent Dr. Scott Fritz. “This is a K-12 effort and an accomplishment that involved not only the students and their families but their teachers, school counselors, school administrators, principals, and district staff, and we are celebrating this success today!”
Volusia County Schools credits the improvements of the graduation rates to a comprehensive strategy focusing on providing individualized support to seniors, close monitoring of seniors’ credits and grades, more career technology programs, and the addition of advanced programs.
