Homicide Investigation in NSB - Police Seek information

New Smyrna Beach Police are asking anyone with any information about a hit and run homicide that took place to please come forward. The incident occurred sometime between 8:15 p.m. on Wednesday, February 7, and 6:50 a.m. this morning, Thursday, February 8, in the 3400 block of S.R. 44. The victim was a 39-year-old male who was found unresponsive in a ditch. He was later pronounced dead at the scene. Preliminary investigation reveals the victim was hit on a motorized bicycle and the driver fled the scene of the accident.
