The Adopt-a-Park program offered through the City of New Smyrna Beach allows individuals and organizations the opportunity to help keep New Smyrna Beach beautiful by adopting local parks that range in size, from pocket parks to sprawling outdoor spaces.
According to a release, Adopt-a-Park participants commit to cleaning their park at least once a month and, if able, participate in special landscaping projects using tools and materials provided by the city. Signage at an adopted park recognizes the participants' names or businesses. Terms are one year with the option to extend if desired.
Parks currently available for adoption in New Smyrna Beach are:
- Myrtle Avenue Park
- The Pettis Park Pickleball courts
- The eastern North Causeway boat ramps
