Latest Tropical Storm Nicole updates impacting New Smyrna Beach.

The City of New Smyrna Beach has announced some important information following Tropical Storm Nicole.
According to a release, damage assessment teams are surveying public infrastructure and homes damaged during the storm, and the city will provide updates throughout the day. Maintenance Operations recovery teams are clearing debris from public streets, sidewalks, storm drains, and parks.
All mandatory evacuation and curfew orders are no longer in effect, and City offices will resume normal operations today and are open 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
The 27th Avenue Beachfront Park is closed to pedestrians and vehicles due to significant damage sustained to its ramp, stairs, and pavers. Regular trash collection schedules resume Friday, November 11. The makeup day for solid waste missed Thursday is Saturday, November 12.
The following events have been canceled or postponed until further notice:
- Veterans Day Ceremony scheduled for Friday, November 11 postponed until further notice.
- The disaster relief supplies distribution event at the Sports Complex scheduled for Saturday, November 12, is canceled.
- NSB Airport 75th Anniversary Celebration scheduled for Saturday, November 12, is postponed until further notice.
- "The Flamingo Follies" Holiday Art Show, scheduled for November 12-13, has been postponed to November 19-20.
