New Smyrna Beach celebrates Duss Street Streetscape completion with a Ribbon Cutting Ceremony.

The City of New Smyrna Beach will hold a ribbon-cutting ceremony on Friday, March 11 at 10:30 a.m. to mark the completion of the Duss Street Streetscape project.
The ceremony will be held near Bethel Christian Preschool and features key speakers including, Mayor Russ Owen, Reverend Pete Carter, and Community Redevelopment Agency Director Chris Edwards.
The completion of the Streetscape project included the following improvements:
- A sidewalk that extends from Jefferson Street to Washington Street.
- New curbs, gutters, and a driveway apron in front of Bethel Christian Preschool.
- New streetlight fixture facing Duss Street from an existing utility pole
- Seven parallel parking spaces.
- White vinyl fencing for the Mary S. Harrell Black History Museum Heritage House and Bethel Christian Preschool.
