Proposed North Atlantic Avenue Drainage Changes to be Discussed at Public Forum

New Smyrna Beach city engineers will present stormwater infrastructure improvements proposed along North Atlantic Avenue from from Lakewood Street to Inlet Street during a 6 p.m. public forum on Thursday, Feb. 29 in the Coronado Civic Center.

The project aims to capture and convey stormwater runoff to help abate flooding, particularly along the road's west side. Further benefits to area residents will include electrical and water main upgrades as well as asphalt repaving to provide a smoother street surface for years to come.
